Some people think of the natural health movement as “new-age” thinking. Few ideas could be further from the truth.
Consider the most basic advice of the two Founding Fathers of Health that all drug companies and far too many medical doctors hope that you will forget about:
Hippocrates, the Father of Western Medicine:
“Let your food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food.”
Paracelsus, the Father of Western Pharmacology and Toxicology:
“All things required for good health are provided by nature.”
In all fairness, however, we must take into consideration that the only “health” that all drug companies and too many doctors have committed to is the health of their profit margins. This has been confirmed and reconfirmed repeatedly in the wake of whistle-blowers revealing intentional conspiracies to hide irrefutable evidence that they knowingly and deceptively marketed extremely harmful substances to a trusting public.
My father was one of the victims of a bad drug cover-up. He died before his natural time because of it. Later, when his doctor learned the truth, he actually apologized to my mother for his part in prescribing it. He claimed that the drug salespeople had intentionally deceived him.
The drug company that marketed the drug that killed him had known about its lethal nature for many years. None of the executives who made the decision to continue marketing it ever had to face charges for their crimes.
Please do not be deceived by the myth that drugs contribute to better health. Remember always the wisdom of Paracelsus:
“All things required for good health are provided by nature.”
